Earthworks including working in the vicinity of HV services and delivery of material within an operational wind farm
Delivery of key components including Modular Battery Packs from the battery technology provider to meet programmed installation dates
Design optimisation with additional works programmed and constructed to accommodate the battery installer requirements
Coring into an existing building for Electrical Connection while maintaining Electrical Operations to the adjacent Wind Farm
Solution
Our Balance of Plant (BoP) Electrical and Civils solution included:
Foundation bays including strip rail foundations for five battery storage units
Transformer foundations for five individual battery arrays and interconnections
Connection of 70 battery units
Project Description:
This 20MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project was constructed at Ray Wind Farm approximately 5km south of the village of Otterburn in Northumberland.
