As part of the WRS Framework, OCU are delivering new service reservoirs to support Affinity Water’s Strategic Supply 2040 Programme.
The works form a key part of the Resource Management Plan, designed to increase storage capacity and strengthen water supply resilience for communities across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.
OCU has led the design and construction of new service reservoirs at several Affinity Water sites, including Preston and Chaul End.

• Offsite manufacture – Reservoirs are pre-cast off-site and transported by road in panels
• Programme Management – Panels are installed upon delivery, utilising just-in-time construction
• Reduced Laydown areas – Modular construction eliminated the need for large on-site storage areas for steel and shutters
• Low-Carbon Construction – Factory pre-casting reduced carbon emissions through increased efficiency and waste reduction
• Minimising Site Concrete – Off-site manufacturing limited the volume of concrete required on site, lowering environmental impact
