Celebrating our 2026 Early Careers graduation

OCU Group recently celebrated an important milestone as members of our 2024 Early Careers cohort completed their programmes.
Our formalised Early Careers programme provides opportunities for graduates, apprentices and industrial placement students to begin and develop their careers in the infrastructure sector across the Group.
Two years on, our first cohort came together at our Group headquarters alongside colleagues and family members to celebrate completing their programmes and reflect on their development since joining OCU.
OCU Group Learning & Development Manager Lee Firth welcomed the cohort and shared a few words recognising their commitment and progress, before CEO Michael Hughes presented certificates to mark their achievements.
Our Early Careers programme continues to grow. This year we welcomed more than 70 new graduates and apprentices, with around 280 colleagues now developing through Early Careers opportunities representing around 12% of OCU’s workforce.
By continuing to create opportunities to learn, develop and gain experience across the Group, OCU is building the skills needed to support future projects, while helping those at the start of their careers play an active role in the Group’s continued growth.
Congratulations to our 2024 Early Careers cohort on their graduation. We look forward to seeing them build on this achievement and continue their careers with OCU.
