OCU welcomes 2026 Early Careers cohort

OCU Group recently welcomed its 2026 Early Careers cohort for two days of learning, networking and activities designed to introduce our newest colleagues to the wider business.
Our Early Careers induction gives graduates and apprentices the opportunity to learn more about OCU, our values, sectors and future direction, while building relationships with colleagues from across the Group.
Members of OCU’s leadership and Learning & Development teams shared insights into the business, their areas of expertise and their own career experiences. Members of last year’s Early Careers cohort also shared their experiences of joining OCU and developing their careers within the Group.
"I really valued learning about the different sectors of the company directly from the CEO and COOs. I left the induction feeling informed, supported and excited about the next two years." - Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer - Valmech, an OCU Group company
Alongside the sessions, the cohort took part in a range of sector-focused team challenges, from designing and constructing telecommunications towers to generating enough electricity from potatoes to power low-voltage LED lights. The activities put collaboration, problem-solving and safe working into practice while giving colleagues further opportunities to connect.
"Meeting my fellow graduates over the two days was really valuable - it was great connecting with like-minded people who share similar passions." - Graduate Data Scientist - Digital, OCU Group
OCU’s Early Careers intake has continued to grow, reflecting our commitment to developing future talent and creating opportunities for people to build their careers within the industry.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this year’s induction, and a warm welcome to all our 2026 graduates and apprentices as they begin their careers with OCU.
