Strengthening our in-house design expertise to support the next generation of energy and infrastructure projects.

Over the past year, OCU Group has undergone a significant transformation, strengthening its in-house design capability, growing our Design team and bringing greater technical expertise into the business.

Moving from a largely outsourced model to an integrated, multidisciplinary approach, our Design team now brings together more than 105 design professionals across the UK and India, compared with approximately 50 in early 2025.

The team provides expertise across the project lifecycle, spanning electrical, civil and structural engineering, primary and secondary plant, protection and control, cable engineering, power systems, BIM, Revit, CAD and survey services.

This growing capability supports projects across regulated power frameworks, major transmission infrastructure, battery energy storage systems (BESS), data centres and HVDC developments.

By bringing more expertise in-house, we are strengthening collaboration between design and project delivery, while providing greater ownership of design quality, programme performance and technical risk.

As OCU Group continues to grow, our expanding Design team provides the technical expertise and capability to support the future delivery of increasingly complex energy and infrastructure projects.
