The OCU Foundation is pleased to announce a new partnership with Alzheimer’s Society, supporting individuals and families affected by dementia.

Dementia touches millions of lives across the UK. It is currently the country’s biggest killer, and every three minutes someone develops the condition. The impact can be profound, affecting memory, behaviour and everyday life for those living with dementia, while also placing emotional and practical demands on families and carers.

The OCU Foundation is commitment to making a positive social impact, and this partnership will focus on raising both funds and awareness for a cause that touches millions of lives across the UK.

Colleagues, partners and suppliers across OCU Group will take part in a range of fundraising and engagement activities over the coming years, bringing teams together while supporting the vital work carried out by Alzheimer’s Society.

Activities will include community challenges, awareness campaigns, and team-based fundraising events. Graduates and others across the business will also be participating in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, helping to drive further support and involvement.

Funds raised through the partnership will contribute to Alzheimer’s Society’s services, including support networks, expert advice and ongoing research to improve the quality of life for those affected by dementia, and their families.

The OCU Foundation looks forward to working closely with Alzheimer’s Society and building a meaningful partnership that supports communities across the UK.
