The OCU Foundation partnered with Teenage Cancer Trust over the past two years, supporting their work to improve the lives of young people living with cancer. As our national charity partner during this period, Teenage Cancer Trust provides vital specialist care and support to young people aged 13–24, ensuring no young person has to face their diagnosis alone.

Throughout the partnership, colleagues, partners and suppliers across OCU Group came together to support the charity through a wide range of fundraising and awareness initiatives.

Our annual OCU Foundation Charity Event played a key role in this effort, bringing together colleagues and partners from across the business for an evening focused on community and collective impact. The most recent event welcomed over 300 attendees and raised £85,000, contributing towards a total donation of £100,000.

Alongside this, teams across the business have supported a variety of fundraising activities including national initiatives such as the “Walk With Us” challenge, encouraging colleagues to complete 15,000 steps in a day to raise funds for specialist cancer care.

Fundraising was also embedded into our day-to-day operations. Through our partnership with SE Recycling, redundant IT equipment was recycled to generate additional funds for the Foundation and its chosen charity.

Together, these initiatives reflect a collective effort across the business to support an important cause while raising awareness of the challenges faced by young people living with cancer.

The funds raised through the OCU Foundation directly supported the work of Teenage Cancer Trust, helping to fund specialist nurses, dedicated hospital units and ongoing support programmes.

These services provide not only medical care, but also the emotional and social support young people need during treatment and recovery.

We are proud of what has been achieved through this partnership and grateful to everyone who has contributed and supported it over the last couple of years.
