As part of Armed Forces Week, OCU Group recognised colleagues from across the business who have served, continue to serve, volunteer with cadet organisations or have close connections to the Armed Forces community.

Throughout the week, OCU shared a series of colleague profiles highlighting the range of experiences within its Armed Forces community. The profiles recognised service leavers, reservists, cadet force volunteers and military family members, and explored the skills and perspectives they bring to their roles across the Group.

From leadership and teamwork to resilience and problem solving, these experiences continue to support OCU’s people, projects and clients every day.

Alongside recognising colleagues, OCU Group also announced a new partnership with X-Forces Enterprise in support of the Cadets in Enterprise programme for 2026–2027.

Delivered through the Soldiering On Academy, the programme supports young people from the UK Cadet Forces by helping them develop enterprise skills, commercial awareness and confidence for future careers. Through mentoring, interactive learning and real-world business challenges, cadets build key capabilities including leadership, teamwork, communication and problem solving.

As part of the partnership, OCU will support a dedicated cadet cohort across the academic year. Colleagues will share industry insight, support programme activities and help inspire the next generation as they develop the skills and confidence to progress into future careers.

OCU’s involvement will also include participation in enterprise challenges and final business pitch presentations, providing cadets with opportunities to apply their learning in a practical setting.

The partnership reflects OCU’s continued focus on supporting future talent, delivering social value and strengthening its connection with the Armed Forces community.

By celebrating the contribution of colleagues across the business and supporting programmes such as Cadets in Enterprise, OCU Group is helping to recognise the value of Armed Forces experience while supporting young people to build the skills, resilience and ambition needed for the modern workforce.
