Supporting inclusive employment through The Opportunity Circle

OCU Group is pleased to become the first founding member of The Opportunity Circle, a new initiative launched by Ways into Work to help create more inclusive employment opportunities across the Thames Valley.

The Opportunity Circle brings together organisations that are committed to supporting individuals who may face barriers to employment. Through collaboration, shared learning and practical action, the initiative aims to improve access to meaningful work and help more people build confidence and skills for the future.

As part of this commitment, OCU recently hosted mock interviews with young people, providing a practical opportunity to experience a workplace-style interview and receive supportive feedback.

The session was designed to help students develop employability skills, build confidence and gain a better understanding of the world of work. OCU colleagues were also able to share insight into different career pathways, workplace expectations and the skills that can support future employment.

The partnership reflects OCU's commitment to delivering positive social value and supporting initiatives that create practical pathways into work.
