Supporting Mission Christmas: Helping make Christmas special for disadvantaged Families

For the fourth year running, OCU was proud to support Cash for Kids - Mission Christmas campaign, continuing our commitment to supporting the communities where we live and work.

Mission Christmas helps ensure that children and young people experiencing hardship don’t wake up without a gift on Christmas Day - providing vital support to families at a time of year that can be challenging.

This year, £1,450 was donated by OCU colleagues and suppliers, which OCU proudly topped up to £5,000 to purchase toys for the appeal. We were also grateful to receive additional toy donations from suppliers, further increasing the impact of the campaign.

To make the most of the funds raised, our volunteers headed out early to B&M and Smyths Toys, where supportive store teams generously offered discounts, helping donations go even further.

A fully loaded van of gifts was delivered to the Mission Christmas warehouse in Trafford. The team shared how quiet donations had been in the lead-up to Christmas and how welcome the delivery was, quickly filling shelves and enabling them to continue supporting families in need across the region.
